About Pete Slade
His name is Peter Slade and he is a self-taught professional artist living in Hampshire.
Growing up near the sea, he has always loved nature and has found natural images to be a great inspiration. For as long as Pete can remember he has drawn and whilst exploring many different ideas and media he has always returned to his love of the natural world.
Pete particularly love the challenge of miniature work and regularly exhibit at the Royal Society of Miniature Artists in London. He is very fortunate that what started as a hobby has now become a profession.
Pete enjoy using graphite pencil, ballpoint pen and phyrography (burning an image into wood). He like the simplicity of using a single colour to create an image. He is available for commissions.
You can see examples of his work on his Facebook page Burning Impressions. Or you can see him working at Port Solent, Hampshire. The Waterside Market was on the second Sunday of the month (April to December).
